General guideline: Kedge anchors need to be heavier than other anchors to get the same holding power, approximately 2 pounds per foot of water line length.

500 lb - Shank is roughly 5.5 ft long
1400 lb - Shank is roughly 7 ft long
2000 lb - Shank is roughly 8 ft long

The heavier the anchor - the larger it is.
Not only is the length longer, but the shank is thicker and the flukes become much wider.
