The KTUS-1L is a high quality proven stainless steel radio buoy for marking longline and tuna gear in the harsh worldwide commercial fishing environments. One frequency is transmitted between the ranges of 1605 to 4000 Khz (in USA 1900 – 1999.9 Khz.). Complete unit consists of rugged stainless steel buoy body, electronic unit, stability float, 24v battery, and matching antenna. Available in both continuous transmit and sel-call options. The KTUS-1L series has full customer support with backup parts readily available in USA.

The FCC has issued approval on this buoy and we will be distributing it starting now. Basically it is a 56 lb buoy with a 11.5 ft. antenna (base, coil, whip) and heavy stainless body with float. We will stock frequencies from 1900 - 1999, with special order frequencies available for export. For convenience, the batteries and D-Packs for this model will also fit the Ryokusei SV-100L series sold in the past. The KTUS-1L will initially be delivered with the FT-1 24VDC battery.
