Using state-of-the-art seismic technology, Capt. Thomas J. Hilton has created offshore fishing/diving charts which show a "snapshot" of the ocean bottom. This is a marked departure from the way charts have been made for centuries, where an artist interprets the sounding positions and "connects the dots" to create bathymetric contour lines.
